Green Seattle Wedding at JM Cellars

Jen and Cooper initially met in a Los Angeles comedy class, and details from their first sketch together made it into their eventual wedding day. For their fall wedding, the duo tied the knot at JM Cellars in Woodinville surrounded by towering forest landscapes and classic décor. What the couple envisioned was an "epic twinkle-light dinner party in the woods”. Why they chose JM Cellars for their wedding day? "We loved being close to Seattle while still feeling like we were a world away, nestled in the forest, and even in those conditions, we felt the magic immediately," Jen said.

Lush hues of green and white were elevated with gold accent pieces. For the couple, who both work in entertainment, subtle pops of old Hollywood influences were a luxurious addition. They had their ceremony in the garden space. It’s nestled under tall trees and really creates a feeling of intimacy and privacy. The vows of this couple were unlike any I have ever heard. I laughed, I cried, I rode the full wave of emotions with them and all of their guests. I guess that was to be expected given their background and comfortability with public speaking. The reception space lit a night of dancing with string lights and candles. Rustic wooden tables with modern sage plates and soft white florals set the tone for a romantic dinner along banquet tables.

In a special touch, the couple opted to forego party favors and instead donate to a handful of charities that had significance to them. Perhaps the most magical part of the night was the sendoff, where Jen and Cooper's old Hollywood vision came to life. As guests swirled white ribbons and sang an impromptu acapella version of Sixpence None the Richer’s "Kiss Me," the couple waltzed toward the awaiting 1938 Pontiac stretch limousine - a surprise from Jen to Cooper. "Kiss Me" was featured in Jen and Cooper's first comedy sketch together, and it was only fitting that their new forever began to the same tune.

Their day was focused on what matters- time with family, moments with friends, a future together. It was beautifully designed and all came together flawlessly. I feel so lucky to have been able to document it for them.
