PNW Elopement in Washington State

Anabella and Ed are highschool sweethearts who decided to elope in Washington State. Their family and closest friends flew in for this and they all spent the long weekend in a beautiful cabin. Their space was set deep in evergreen trees in a cabin that sat right on top of the river. They spent the morning getting ready here and we planned to head out nearby for a ceremony with a beautiful PNW mountain backdrop. They would then head back to the cabin after to enjoy dinner together and celebrate. What I appreciate about this group is their lead back attitude and flexibility. This is a location from a handful that I had recommended to them in the area. I know the lighting and the sunset here, and for the best photos we wanted to be there closer to sunset. With a late summer wedding, sunset is around 9pm- so this crew agreed to an 8pm ceremony! (YUP, they went back and had dinner AFTER this) Photos were a major priority to them and I was so glad we waited for some end of day light here.

While they were getting ready, her dad was making his famous mashed potatoes that would be a part of their dinner (they were delicious). The boys shared cigars on the patio, the girls did their hair and make up. I love the energy before a ceremony- there is so much excitement buzzing through the air. Ed and their friends headed out earlier to set up their ceremony site while Anabella finished getting ready and shared a first look with her dad. It was so sweet, her dad absolutely melted when he saw her for the first time.

When we got to their ceremony location, they shared their own first look. These two are SO incredibly sweet together. Always offering kisses to the other one, making each other laugh and are just so crazy in love. Their ceremony was officiated by her father. Ed and his dad stood at their altar holding Ed’s mother’s urn. Anabella and her dad made their way towards the altar, followed by their small wedding party who circled around them at their altar. They exchanged vows, there were happy tears and plenty of laughs, then exchanged rings and a first kiss in a shower of bubbles.

It was such a sweet ceremony- these two were completely surrounded by love and support the entire time. Their wedding details were stunning and beautifully pulled together and their day turned out perfect. I could spend all of my weekends in the summer celebrating days like this one. Congrats A + E!
