Nick + Jenna | Proposal

Love should come first; it should be the beginning of and the reason for everything.
— Gerald May

I was beyond excited to get to capture this proposal. I've known these two for almost two years now and there is not a dull moment with them. Nick had purchased the ring and planned to propose to Jenna on her favorite Pittsburgh bridge- just adorable, people! I met up with him a couple of days beforehand to scope out the location and figure out where I should hide and what I would need for gear. I think my favorite part about this entire plan is that Nick has a fear of bridges (A Pittsburghian who is afraid of bridges, this just kills me)

On the day of, I watched them slowly walk up to the bridge and I'm pretty sure I was smiling from ear to ear behind my camera because the anticipation was killing me. The whole thing was too cute, her reaction was priceless and I had happy tears streaming down my face as I captured it on camera. I also couldn't have asked for a more stylish duo- I mean, is this real life? I was constantly laughing as we took photos; Nick and Jenna are so full of energy and I admire how they enjoy life and eachother. Jenna had no idea he was proposing to her until she turned around and saw him down on one knee. Afterward, we rode the trolly up to Mt. Washington and took a few more pictures with the city in the background. Then went and met up with family and friends to celebrate the engagement. I give Nick so much credit for planning all of this and I feel so lucky to have been able to be there and share this moment with them.
