Big Fake Wedding Seattle | Part 1

Come away with me the best is yet to be

So. Much. Fun. I am literally so excited to share this with you today!!!! I recently got to take part in the Big Fake Wedding in Seattle, Washington. For those who aren't familiar, the Big Fake Wedding is a bridal show alternative where real brides can come and witness a REAL vowel renewal while getting to meet and see local wedding vendors in action. It's all the aspects of a real wedding, except the bride and groom are already married and the guests are mostly brides-to-be and their guests.

From their website: The Big Fake Wedding℠ is a bridal show alternative complete with an emotional ceremony, a tasty dinner and a dance-party reception. "Wedding guests" are brides-and-grooms-to-be who get to truly experience the wedding vendors in action.

What drew me to this was the intimacy of the event. As a former bride, I was overwhelmed at big bridal shows. I actually made it a point to avoid most of the vendors because I felt like I was being attacked. But this setting is so easy-going and relaxed and is centered more around a beautiful couple than around vendors throwing themselves at the future brides.

The venue was at the historical and iconic Space Needle. Such a cool spot to be but the best spot for photos was definitely outside so we rode all 600 feet down and spent some time on the ground of Seattle! After photos we held a sweet and short ceremony that was a real vowel renewal for these sweet humans, then a cocktail hour with drinks where the guests could come around and mingle with us. This was so much fun and it was great to connect with brides face to face. Following the cocktail hour there was food, dancing, cake, and a grand exit. It was a beautiful Seattle evening and I feel so lucky to have gotten to be a part of it! A reminder of how incredible Seattle and the wedding industry are!
