In my book, a mother's day photo session is ALWAYS a good idea. Such a special time together, celebrating a day that honors one of the most important people in your life. Then add in the fact that you'll get some gorgeous photos of the two of you to have for the rest of your life- brilliant! It just makes sense! I'm SO glad Kelly contacted me to shoot her and her beautiful daughter on Mothers Day. We met at an amazing garden in Portland, Oregon early in the morning and just walked around taking in the gorgeous scenery. Getting to know them was such a treat and I think their relationship is so special. I felt honored to get to spend the morning with them and celebrate clearly an amazing mom. As silly, crazy, and (at times) ridiculous, our moms can sometimes be, there are no words to sum up how truly important and special they are to us. So it seems only fitting to say it with pictures. Warning: this post may make you want to immediately call your mom or daughter and tell them how special they are.
