Makayla and Andrew Backyard Washington Wedding
Makayla and Andrew got married at a family property in September. We got the absolute best weather for their outdoor ceremony. This was not their original plan for their wedding, but with the help of their family and friends it turned out perfectly. They got to have a super sweet first look, their dog, Akela, got to be a huge part of their day, and they spent the entire evening dancing + celebrating with their favorite people on Earth. A few super fun highlights of their day:
Their family and friends surprised them with a flash mob dance. Literally the entire dance floor filled up, chairs were placed for Makayla and Andrew and everyone memorized a dance to surprise these two with. It was super cute to see how much effort so many people put in to learning this dance and being a part of it.
They had a donut bar. YALL. I love donuts so I’m always super excited about these. They displayed these beautifully and still did a small naked cake cut for a photo opp.
They were actually in the middle of toasts when the sun started to set at this location. Their best man (bless his soul) actually announced to everyone that the couple was going to need to step out for a second for some photos. This is always a super stressful moment for some weddings because the sun goes down so fast but it’s normally during reception toasts- so having him step up for us and make that announcement made their sunset photos SO GOOD.
They did a sparkler exit, but weren’t quite done celebrating so those who wanted to stay and dance, went back to the dance floor and those who were done for the night headed home.
It was such a beautiful wedding, such good people, looking back at my summer their day was one of my highlights and I can’t thank them enough for letting me be a part of their day! CHEERS M + A!
