Snoqualmie Pass Engagement Session
When friends become clients. Rachael is the younger sister of one my closest friends and I have loved getting to know her over the years. She made a trip up to stay with her sister for a Fourth of July, and joined in on my family’s party tradition. She’s obviously a bombshell of a human being, high energy, a really good time and wears her heart on her sleeve. Fast forward to Steve, the guy she brought up with her. At the time, Steve was “a guy she had just started dating” yet he committed to driving 3.5 hours to get away for a weekend with Rachael’s family. I think it’s safe to say at that point he already know she was really special to him. They came to my family’s house for the 4th of July. It’s really just a big party on the lake, there’s beer pong, there’s hot dogs, flip cup, and then a bonfire and fireworks- it’s one of my most favorite family traditions. Steven and Rachael fit right in- and I LOVED watching their relationship grow that weekend. Rumor has it, they even snuck down to the lake for their first kiss that night. I don’t always have this much backstory on my couples, but these two are special. It’s safe to say fireworks sparked (you see what I did there?) and from then on, it was Rachael + Steve always. They eventually got engaged, then it was time for wedding planning. When they reached out about engagement photos and wedding photos- I was ecstatic. She wanted Mt. Rainier in their photos, but we had a cloudy day and sometimes it’s not worth the drive up to Rainier for clouds. So we picked a backup location, and it turned out beautiful. They were able to bring their dog and let him run around, we still got extremely beautiful PNW photos and we beat the rain that came in that evening. I adore these humans and this location! Cheers R+S!
