Puyallup Lupine Field Family Photos

Getting to capture my couples through all stages of life is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. I’ll never forget my first meeting with Lara. She was engaged and planning her wedding in Puyallup, WA. We met for coffee and immediately clicked. Her wedding was one of the firsts that took place at Farm 12 and since then the venue and restaurant has grown so much. Since their wedding day, I’ve had the opportunity to shoot so many other milestones for her entire family- from gender reveals, to engagement photos, to entire family photos, senior photos, new baby photos. I truly feel like their families are an extension of my own at this point, their milestones are also my milestones- it’s incredibly special.

When they found out they were expecting a second baby, I knew we needed to capture this chapter and get some photos at a place that is so deeply weaved into their story and lives. I love the Lupine Fields near Van Lierop Park. They bloom once a year and sometimes it truly feels like they come out of nowhere. The flowers are purple and endless and there are so many spots to hop into. It’s also near trails so it makes a great family evening outting, walking the trails or bringing the pups on leashes to walk around.

I love loose and relaxed clothing for family photos in the summer time. Flowy dresses or relaxed denim give a cute but relaxed look. Lara’s overalls were such a cute look for the lupine flower fields and her son’s coordinating overalls were absolutely adorable. I love getting to capture growing families like this in the Puyallup area and am so excited for more sessions in these Lupine Fields!
